Who we are
Lead Beyond Education.
We are dedicated to empowering young women from Culturally and Racially Marginalised (CARM) communities and refugee backgrounds. Our mission is to break down economic and educational barriers through leadership development, capacity building, and human rights advocacy.
Founded with the belief that every woman deserves the chance to succeed, we provide pathways for growth in leadership, education, and entrepreneurship. Our programs, including initiatives like Miss Sahara, are designed to inspire confidence, promote inclusivity, and create lasting social change. Together, we are building a future where all women can lead beyond limitations.
Our Programs
Lead Beyond Education works collaboratively with communities, schools, partners, donors,
and organisations to expand pathways to education, leadership, and opportunity for young women and girls.
Our work is delivered through key program areas that support learning, leadership, cultural identity, community voice, and long-term impact.

Kakuma Girls’ Education Project
The Kakuma Girls’ Education Project supports girls in Kakuma Refugee Camp in accessing and remaining in secondary education. Through school fee support, educational essentials, and community-based partnerships, the project helps reduce barriers preventing girls from continuing their studies. This program reflects Lead Beyond Education’s commitment to education as a pathway to dignity, opportunity, and long-term change.

Sahara Collective
Sahara Collective, formerly known as Miss Sahara, is a leadership and opportunity platform for African-Australian young women. Through the Sahara Fellowship, Sahara Gala, mentorship, cultural storytelling, and the Sahara Impact Grant, the initiative supports young women in strengthening their voices, celebrating cultural identity, and creating community impact.

Community Leadership & Dialogue
Lead Beyond Education creates community-led dialogue spaces that bring people together to explore issues affecting women, families, culture, leadership, and social change. These programs support learning, public voice, intergenerational conversation, and community-led solutions.

Economic Empowerment
We support young women and girls in building financial confidence, developing practical skills, and accessing opportunities that strengthen self-reliance, independence, and long-term stability.
Lead Beyond Education is also aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals
